No! While the Legacy Look 5k is designed to highlight DC’s rich running culture and the clubs that make it possible, you don’t have to be in a club to participate. That said, we highly encourage you to join one of DC’s great clubs.

Yes! Each team must have a minimum of 5 runners to qualify for the Run Club Championship but there is no maximum. In fact, the more runners you bring, the better your final score!

Yes! All waves of the Legacy Loop 5k are professionally timed for both individuals and teams. Results will be posted to RunSignup.com.

The Legacy Loop 5k uses a cross-country-like scoring system where teams will be scored by their top 5 fastest runners, but with a slight twist that rewards teams that show out in numbers. Make no mistakes – speed will still win the day – but teams who run deep have the potential to tip the scales in their favor.

Everyone who completes the Legacy Loop 5k will receive a high quality finishers medal.
There will also be awards for Top 3 fastest men, women, and the fastest club will be awarded the Legacy Loop Championship Belt.
